Our digital strategy service is designed to help guide you through your entrance into, or next steps through the digital space.

We start by conducting a Current state analysis, assessing where you are in the market place amongst comparators and competitors; what your audience thinks of you and your services; and understanding where you see yourself. Then we work with you to identify an Ambition of where you want to be and a Vision of what it might look like and feel like when you get there. Finally, we work with you to identify and plan work packages through a Strategic Roadmap to get you to where you want to be and develop Measurement strategies to help you track how you are doing along the way.

Current state analysis

We understand your current state in a number of ways depending on your particular circumstances. Some of the activities we regularly advise include:

- User research through interviews, observation or surveys to understand what your audience thinks of you and the services you offer
- Stakeholder research through interviews, workshops and surveys
- Expert review of your current service to identify strengths and weaknesses of the services you offer based on our professional experience
- Competitor and comparator review to identify strengths and weaknesses of direct competitors and lateral comparators, and to help provide inspiration and benchmarks for future solutions
- Existing research review to understand what previous research and audits have uncovered about the current state previously

Ambition

We get to a clear ambition in a number of ways depending on your circumstances. We typically advise the following activities:
- Review of your existing and previous strategies to understand where synergies can be sought, where issues can be highlighted
- Stakeholder workshops to define what success looks like and what the key goals and objectives are for digital service provision
- Strategy mapping to map overall aspiration, to underlying goals and strategic themes

Vision

We develop a vision in a number of formats from textual vision statements to vision prototypes and demonstrators by:
- Articulating a vision statement through workshops with key stakeholders
- illustrating key strategic concepts or key themes through scamps, conceptual models
- developing scenarios of the future to visualise
- storyboarding the scenarios for the vision prototype
- developing the visual prototype

Roadmap

We develop roadmaps with you that lead you to achieve your ambition and convert vision to reality. The roadmaps we develop aim to be actionable and pragmatic by conducting the following activities:

- Mapping of other projects and milestones for the timescales
- Mapping key milestones for the digital strategy - what will be achieved and what the experience takeaways for your users and your staff will be at each point
- Plotting work packages made up of activities, inputs, outputs and outcomes against the timeline and dependencies of other milestones and work packages

Measurement strategies

Having a vision and roadmap is all well and good, but how do you know how you are doing along the way? Measurement strategies help to track how you are doing against Key Performance Indicators and Critical Success Factors. This helps the relevant stakeholders keep an eye on progress and mitigate any issues or risks through appropriate interventions.

We help you develop measurement strategies by:

- Identifying Critical Success Factors (CSFs)
- Developing Key Performance Indicators for the CSFs
- Identifying methods for measuring against KPIs
- Developing plans for measuring
- Developing analysis and reporting frameworks for regularly updating key stakeholders
