Centrica.
Centrica is a world leader in energy supply and is the largest supplier of gas and one of the largest suppliers of electricity to domestic customers in the UK. Their trading name is the more well-known British Gas and they have a customer base of around 17 million, employing over 33,000 staff globally. We have been working with them in order to increase their external message of being more energy efficient internally throughout their business locations in the UK and worldwide.
Sometimes it’s easy being green.
250 managers within Centrica have all reduced their carbon footprints since the start of the campaign.
Audience.
Switching a light off when you leave a room; only filling the kettle with the water you will use. We've all heard of the ways we can reduce energy use in our homes but are our energy companies doing the same?
Challenge.
Because Centrica, a world leader in energy supply, have spent time encouraging their customers to save energy, they thought it was important that they sent the right message by reducing their own energy use within the business.
Insight.
We were tasked to get all staff engaged with Centrica’s target to reduce energy emissions by 10%. Within their total programme was the desire to get staff behaving in a more energy conscious fashion within the workplace, in order to live Centrica’s commitment to Being Green.
Result.
We created an internal awareness campaign called Being Green, which comprised of an internal brand, key messages, presentation activity for a leadership conference and a DVD of all the directors and parts of the businesses explaining their role and commitment to the campaign.
