A brief branding system is both functionally and emotionally accessible to everyone, because at most, it is a set of ideas, promises, values and statements. Inaccessibility happens when we take these abstract ideas and express them as something more tangible.

We’re excited to have Gareth Ford Williams with us to talk about making branding systems more accessible and inclusive. He’ll share his thoughts on design approaches that help brands achieve this, while staying true to themselves.

Why is Brand Accessibility so important

You strive to appeal to every customer and employee in your sector. So, naturally, you’ve prioritized brand accessibility, right?

You’ve likely:

  • Got comprehensive accessibility guidelines.
  • Ensured your website meets or exceeds AA rated standards.
  • Run your communications through a gender balance tool to make sure you are using inclusive communications.
  • Provided closed caption subtitles on all your videos to ensure hearing impaired customers can better access your content.

Despite increased awareness, reports from the Business Disability Forum indicate that many businesses are still failing to create truly inclusive environments for disabled customers and employees.
