Dr Josephine Perry: Mastering your Mindset

Online Zoom event
28 February, 10am

Dion Dublin and Dr Josephine Perry visits Monkspath School

Performance Psychology

This talk will cover two key elements of performance psychology that are crucial to success and yet often ignored:

That we need to stop trying to ‘win’ in order to actually win.

Rather than ignoring our fears we need to actively embrace them so that we can become braver at facing, soothing and overcoming them.

This talk from Sport Psychologist Dr Josephine Perry will cover both concepts so you feel equipped with new mental skills to reach your potential in all spheres of life.

Embracing your goals

Setting yourself bold goals is a great idea, but can be disheartening. Sometimes it feels as though you’ve set yourself an inspiring yet unattainable goal.

So how do high performers hit their dizzying heights? What is their mindset?

Dr Josephine Perry is a psychologist who helps sports, media and business stars to understand themselves, their purpose and their values, teaching them skills to overcome their mental barriers to success.

Josephine holds a PhD from the London School of Economics in political communications and used these skills working in large corporations, charities, and government as a corporate communications director for 15 years.

In this Talk with The Team, she will talk to us about how to develop a mastery mindset. She’ll explain how we can distil our goals into achievable, bite-sized targets and bring success and satisfaction into our lives.

She has published 5 books and regularly comments on performance psychology in the media, including BBC Breakfast, ITN News, BBC Ten O’Clock News and Women’s Hour.

Join us at this talk to learn more about how you can channel your strengths and develop a mastery mindset.
