Caravan and Motorhome Club Magazine

Challenge

Print is not dead: successful magazines have been omni-channel for some time. But the pandemic has brought new challenges: with more people spending more time at home than ever before, how and when do they want to read their favourite magazines, and what information do they want and need?

Our Approach

We write, design, produce and distribute some of the biggest-circulation magazines in their sector, in print, online, in app and on social media. During the pandemic, audiences have diversified their reading habits: but they have increasingly looked for the familiarity and reassurance of a printed magazine arriving at their home or business, with in-depth features and technical information. They’ve needed answers and information fast too, and we’ve responded with increased online and social media presence.

Some of our Work

The Caravan and Motorhome Club magazine has one of the biggest print circulations in the UK and we’ve been their trusted partner for more than 20 years. During the pandemic, while physical holidays were on hold, we helped them to create a virtual touring world. Interactive features delved deep into the archive to revisit better times, encouraged user-generated content from members and explored other ways they could spend time in their vehicles – even if it was on their own driveways.

Registered Gas Engineer magazine – written, designed and fulfilled by us for Gas Safe Register – became even more critically important to its readers, mostly self-employed gas engineers, as they sought information fast. They needed urgent, accurate clarity on when and how they could work in their customers’ homes during the pandemic, as well as how to access government support for their small businesses. We created fast, regular updates online and in-app, backed up with in-depth information in print.
